Art III, IV
Art III and IV have just finished up Mixed Media Collage Portraits. This portrait uses negative space to create a face. They began by covering a 24 inch by 24 inch mat board with photographic images and magazine images. Then using photoshop they converted a high contrast photo of a face into a black and white image using the rubber stamp tool. The image was then projected onto a white 24 inch by 24 inch piece of white paper. An x-acto knife was used to cut out the areas of the image to be used in the collage. The white areas of the face were then glued onto the collage backing to create a colorful portrait.
